SNOW FLURRIES... Coming to a mountain near you!

Can you feel it? Winter is brewing...

Great news is being reported from the Resorts for the coming 2011/12 Winter Season. With La Nina ready to dance around the mountain-tops once again, predictions for an incredible winter are most definitely on the frosty horizon. For the first week of October, we're pleasantly surprised!

THE FLURRY REPORT

SoCal - Big Bear / San Bernardino Mountains

Rain is supposed to come Wednesday night with possible snow showers. Snow level of 8500 feet lowering to 7000 feet. New snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible. Check out the 7-day Forecast for the area.

The Sierras - Mammoth

Mammoth's many WebCams are reporting some action. Take a look at what's happening at Main Lodge right now. It's a cool 41 degrees with a Slight Breeze. Sounds like perfect conditions to bring on the famous La Nina!!

North Lake Tahoe - Squaw Valley USA & Alpine Meadows

Everyone has been buzzing about the new partnership between Squaw & Alpine. You'll now get double the Tahoe mountain for one price. Check out the UberCam at Squaw for a look at what the mountain looks like right now. A little breezy, with small patches of snow developing. Oh yeah, by the looks of this we know Winter is moments away!!

And, even more exciting, a little bird told us that Squaw Valley and surrounding Tahoe businesses have put in a bid for the 2020-2022 Olympic Games. You heard it here first! Did you know the very first televised Olympic Games were in 1960 at Squaw Valley? Would be cool if it happened again!

South Lake Tahoe Tahoe

Heavenly Reports snow is on the way! With an opening day announcement set for November 18 Heavenly is certain there will be tons of snow before you know it. Check out shots from their WebCam where you can actually see the snow developing on the ground. Its incredible to think in just 6 short weeks away you'll be enjoying a smooth ride through one of Heavenlys amazing runs!!

Colorado

Its getting colder and colder in Colorado. The 10-day Forecast calls for showers and rain, with scattered T-Storms, which means Snow Flurries could easily be on the horizon. Check out what Weather.com is saying about the weather in Colorado.

Enjoy the spirit of the Flurries while they are here! May they bless us all with an terrific Winter!!
